The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested 12 suspects following a deadly attack on a mosque that resulted in the stabbing to death of a 28-year-old man.
The incident occurred on Friday at around 2pm, when the assailants targeted worshippers performing Tahajjud prayer at Layin Bliya, Makwa Road, in Rigasa, Tudun Wada area.
Mansir Hassan, the spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, revealed that the attackers, who came from Malalin Gabas, Tudun Was, Rafin Guza, and Unguwar Baduko areas, launched the assault while the worshippers were engaged in prayer.
By the time, the police and the Civilian Joint Task Force members arrived, Usman Mohammed had already been fatally stabbed.
The police swiftly apprehended the 12 suspects, who admitted their involvement in the attack.
Several weapons were recovered from them.
A thorough investigation has now been launched to uncover further details of the incident and ensure justice is served.
To prevent future incidents, the Kaduna State Police Command has enhanced security around mosques and other key locations.

The police also issued a warning to criminals, threatening severe legal consequences for those caught engaging in illegal activities.
