Tinubu Gives N9 Billion to Each State for Infrastructure Development

President Bola Tinubu's administration has allocated a total of N9 billion to the 36 states of the Federation, according to a statement by Tinubu's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. Out of this amount, N7 billion has been earmarked for infrastructural development, while the remaining funds are designated for fuel subsidy palliatives.

Onanuga, in a post on X, highlighted that the increased revenue allocation from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has contributed to this financial support. He emphasized the significance of state governments utilizing these funds for the betterment of their respective communities, urging them to prioritize investments in roads and infrastructure to stimulate job creation and enhance economic activities.

Encouraging state governors to shift their focus from the central government, Onanuga called for responsible media monitoring to ensure transparent and judicious utilization of the allocated funds, reinforcing the need for states to promptly address the needs of their citizens.
