Tragedy in Sokoto State as Bandits Clash with Youths in Community behind Usmanu Danfodiyo University main Campus

In a grim incident in Sokoto State, a fatal confrontation unfolded when the youths of Kwakwala bravely resisted an attack by approximately 10 armed bandits. 

The assailants, armed with cutlasses and guns, targeted the community behind the main campus of Usmanu Danfodiyo University in the Sokoto metropolis. 

According to ASP Ahmad Rufa’i, the spokesperson for the Sokoto State Police Command, the clash resulted in the tragic death of one youth named Usman, who was shot and killed instantly.

Rufa’i further disclosed that during the confrontation, four other youths from the Kwalkwala and Dundaye communities sustained various degrees of injuries. 

The Sokoto State Police Command, led by CP Ali Kaigama, is actively pursuing the apprehension of the culprits, as confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).
