Shocking: Pastor Takes His Own Life Over Love; To Be Buried in the Forest

Nnewi, Anambra State — In a tragic turn of events, Pastor Prosper Igboke, a respected figure within a local Pentecostal Church in Nnewi, Anambra State, has taken his own life by leaping from a two-story building. The unfortunate incident occurred shortly after Pastor Igboke's romantic relationship took a devastating blow, leaving him heartbroken.

Community sources reveal that Pastor Igboke, aged 30, had invested heavily in his relationship with a woman he deeply cared for. He had even supported her education at the university. However, his hopes of marrying her were dashed when she declined his proposal.

A family member, who preferred to remain unnamed, shared insights into the heartbreaking situation. "The tragic incident unfolded last month. It's truly saddening that a young pastor like Igboke would resort to such a drastic step," the relative said. "He was just 30 years old when this happened. Despite his spiritual role and age, he found himself in a desperate state."

In accordance with local traditions, Pastor Igboke was laid to rest in a secluded forest area as a form of atonement for his actions. The relative confirmed, "His final resting place was within the woods of his community. The circumstances surrounding his choice led to this unconventional form of burial."

The state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said that the matter was not officially reported to the police command.
