KWARA TO RELAX LOCKDOWN ORDER ON RESIDENTS

Kwara State Governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman has said that he would soon relax the lockdown order on residents in the state and allow essential services to go on,saying that,”we are not going to allow our economy to grind to a halt.”

AbdulRahman, however said this will take effect after the state government must have provide surplus face mask to ensure that everyone in the state put on a mask, before going out.

The governor disclosed this during the enumeration exercise of the organized transporters association in the state in a bid to give each member a soft loan of N10,000 each to survive during the lockdown period.

The governor on relaxing the lockdown said,”gradually we will relax the stay at home order and allow some people to go to work.We are not allowing our economy to grind to a halt,our essential services will go on.

He added,”We will concentrate on people having face mask before they go out.But we can not enforce that until we have enough fave masks to distribute, we are distributing them gradually until we cover the whole state”

“We have engaged the state tailors association, we already had meeting with them,we gave them samples of what we believe is medically fit for our people”

The governor however insisted that pending the time he would relax the order,the residents must stay at home and observe the directives and principles of avoiding been effected with the Covid-19 virus.
