In a disturbing revelation, a medical doctor based in kwara, Dr. Abass Adeyemi, has confessed to the brutal murder of at least four individuals, including hospital staff and a missing young woman. The Kwara State Police Command has described the crimes as part of a sophisticated and chilling organ trafficking network.
Addressing the press in Ilorin, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Paul Odama, revealed that the suspect, Dr. Adeyemi, admitted to killing Olanipekun Ifeoluwa by bludgeoning her and dumping her body in a bush. In another gruesome act, the body of a victim was discovered concealed inside a cement-filled trash can within the General Hospital, Kaiama, where the doctor once worked.
Among the victims was Nafisat Halidu, a casual worker at the hospital, whose body was hidden in a storage room and preserved with industrial materials. Her remains, along with those of an unidentified woman, were exhumed during the investigation.
CP Odama disclosed that Dr. Adeyemi was initially apprehended in Edo State before being transferred to Kwara for further interrogation. During questioning, the doctor also confessed to sedating and killing one **Abubakar Malam Abubakar.
“This is not ordinary ritual killing,” said CP Odama. “This is deliberate, organized and connected to an underground organ trade ring. It is far more sinister than we imagined.”
Authorities believe Dr. Adeyemi may be part of a larger organ harvesting syndicate, and investigations are now focused on uncovering all his accomplices. Recovered items linked to the victims include a Toyota Camry, wigs, veils, underwears, and multiple mobile phones.
“We are not resting until everyone involved in this gruesome crime is brought to justice,” CP Odama vowed.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned in court soon, as investigations continue to unfold the full extent of this terrifying crime that has cast a dark shadow over the Kwara medical community.
