Chairman Tukur Denounces Hon. Mashood Mustapha: APC Rescued from an Outcast in Alanamu Ward

The Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Alanamu ward, Ilorin west local government, Kwara State, Mr. Babatunde Abubakar Tukur, has responded to an open letter from Hon. Mashood Mustapha regarding the Kwara Hotel remodeling. In a statement released by the ward's publicity secretary, Mr. Quadri Aseyanbi, Tukur disassociated Mustapha from the party, describing him as an outcast in the ward.

Tukur addressed Mustapha's letter, criticizing him for considering himself above others in his political homestead and acting as a demigod. He refuted Mustapha's claim of creating a parallel structure in Alanamu ward before the 2019 elections, stating that it is baseless. Tukur highlighted the historical political figures in Kwara, emphasizing Mustapha's insignificance during that period.

Accusing Mustapha of ingratitude and insincerity, Tukur pointed out that Mustapha enjoyed patronage and appointments from the governor he is now criticizing. Tukur criticized Mustapha's anti-party activities, including abandoning the APC for the main opposition party and instructing his loyalists to vote against APC candidates. Tukur asserted that Mustapha is a divisive leader, financing dissent groups to create chaos during political scheming.

The statement concluded by declaring Mustapha an empty vessel, emphasizing that the APC has rescued the party from him, and he has been suspended. Tukur urged Mustapha to refrain from identifying himself as an APC Chieftain from Alanamu ward.
