In a recent announcement, the Minister for Works , Dave Umahi emphasized the need for citizens to promptly report poorly constructed roads by photographing and providing details to specified contacts: 08030986263, 08037086137, or 08106423197.
Reports according to him should include the contractor's name, location, type of contract, and observed defects.
Furthermore, the Minister assures that reported cases will be documented, verified, and corrective actions will be taken promptly.
To encourage public engagement, the Federal Ministry of Works plans to recognize and publicly acknowledge genuine reports during quarterly forums. Conversely, contractors found at fault will face public sanctions as the Ministry commits to a transformative approach in project oversight. All concerned parties are hereby warned that the Ministry will not spare anyone found culpable in their assignments.
