President Tinubu Appoints Key Aides, Including Muri-Okunola, Yakasai, and More

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has recently made several significant appointments, solidifying his administration with key figures. Among the appointments is the confirmation of Hakeem Muri-Okunola as the principal secretary, a role he previously held during Tinubu's tenure as Lagos State Governor.

Hakeem Muri-Okunola, a 51-year-old lawyer, returns to this crucial role, marking his second stint as a special assistant to President Tinubu. He had previously served in this capacity in 2001 when Tinubu was the governor of Lagos State.

President Tinubu also appointed 15 other special assistants, further diversifying his administration. Notable among them are Tanko Yakasai, Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, and Moremi Ojudu, who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles.

Moremi Ojudu, the daughter of former special political adviser to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Babafemi Ojudu, was appointed as a special assistant to the President with a focus on community engagement in the southwest zone. Additionally, individuals like Tanko Yakasai, Chioma Nweze, Abiodun Essiet, and Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba were appointed to serve various geographical zones across the country.

Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, the former deputy governor of Lagos, has been reappointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Sustainable Development Goals.

Furthermore, President Tinubu continues to strengthen the nation's economy with the appointment of Tope Kolade Fasua as the Special Adviser on Economic Affairs in the office of the Vice President.

These appointments reflect President Tinubu's commitment to assembling a diverse and competent team to tackle the challenges facing Nigeria.
