University of Ilorin's Deputy Registrar, Garba, Appointed Registrar at FCE, Ilawe

Hajia Khadija Wuraola Garba, a deputy registrar at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), has been appointed as the pioneer registrar of the Federal College of Education in Ilawe, Ekiti State. The appointment, approved by the President and communicated through a letter dated May 28, 2023, was signed by Mr. Andrew David Adejo, the permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education.

The official statement stated, "I write to convey to you the approval of Mr. President for your appointment as the registrar of the Federal College of Education, Ilawe, Ekiti State. The appointment is for a first and initial tenure of five years with effect from May 28, 2023, in line with the Federal College of Education Act."

Hajia Garba is presently pursuing a PhD in Educational Management at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Kwara State. She earned both her first and master’s degrees in Educational Management from UNILORIN in 2003 and 2011, respectively. Additionally, she studied Geography/Social Studies at Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, graduating in 2000.

Among her accomplishments, Hajia Garba is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Chartered Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (IPAN), and the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA).

Notably, she served as the pioneering faculty officer for the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Ilorin from 2011 to 2015. She also held the position of caretaker III (female) for the UNILORIN Muslim Community (UMC) from 2012 to 2016, as well as being the representative for the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the UNILORIN Muslim Ladies Circle (UMLC) from 2012 to 2014.
